Daktari is travelling!

At the moment I am traveling in Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe in order to test new destinations for you and to freshen up my knowledge of the “all time favourites”. I won’t be able to respond to your emails as fast as I usually do and can’t say when or where I will be able to download my messages while in Zimbabwe, but I will be in touch with you and will respond to your queries as soon as possible.

You can find my travel blog here: Daktari on Safari

If you have any urgent inquiries or need reservations, bookings, etc. please turn to my colleague Mr. Johann Burtz at Fly Away Travel Agency, tel: 09332-59340, email: j.burtz@fly-away.org, he will be happy to help you.

Until then, many thanks for your patience.

Best regards, Sabine Gebele

We invite you...

... to visit our new website, daktari safaris, that is online as of this moment:
daktari safaris

On this site we would like to present our favourite partner companies in South Africa and Zimbabwe to you. All of these operations are deeply committed to nature conservation and are happy to let travellers from all over the world watch, learn and sometimes even lend a hand with their work. As a visitor to the lodges and a participant in the tours you will help conservation while relaxing, learning and enjoying.

We very much look forward to your visit!

best regards, Sabine Gebele

Daktari is back...

... in Germany and at the computer, happily looking forward to responding to any queries you may have. We will be working on your quotations and bookings as usual from today.

As soon as we have caught up with our correspondence we will be informing you of the new and exciting projects we have visited on our travels.

Have a lovely week, best wishes,

Sabine Gebele

After the elections....

.... in Zimbabwe we are still hoping that a peaceful transfer of power will be made possible.

Please hope with us.

Best regards, Sabine Gebele

Elephants can recognise their own image in a mirror!

Scientists set up an enormous mirror in the enclosure of the Asian elephants at the Bronx Zoo and conducted a series of experiments. The results indicate that elephants recognise their own image in the mirror rather than assuming that they are looking at another elephant.
