Why not make up for the rainy Summer?

Why not discover Zimbabwe's wilderness on foot in November?

Zimbabwe's Wilderness on Foot 12th Nov. - 25th Nov. 2011
Walking safari starting and ending in Victoria Falls

We'll serve you a highlight of your tour right at the beginning: Victoria Falls where the waters of the Zambezi River plunge 100 metres deep into the narrow gorge. The thunder is audible from afar and the spectacle is unforgettable. You have a few days to relax in a comfortable guest house, to recover from the long flight and to take part in some of the activities that are on offer at Victoria Falls.

From Victoria Falls you travel deep into the bush of Chizarira National Park with our highly trained and experienced guide and his competent team made up of a tracker, a camp helper and a chef. Because of its remote location, Chizarira is one of the lesser-visited parks in Zimbabwe. This park is full of contrasts. Jagged gorges and rocky hills unexpectedly give way to grassy plains and meandering river courses. The secrets of this nature reserve are best discovered by those who enjoy following our experienced guide on a walking safari and who are interested in everything that nature has to offer.

Whilst you are busy watching wildlife, your camp is set up for you. The large walk-in safari tents with en suite bush-bathroom are usually set up on the edge of Mucheni Gorge. Only a few paces from your camp bed you have one of the most impressive views that the country has to offer. On the bush walks you carry only your photo equipment, your binoculars and some drinking water. You either begin the bush walks straight from camp or you drive longer distances in the 4x4 and then walk from there. You either return to camp for meals or you spend an entire day in the bush, then you meet the vehicle and the team somewhere along the way and have your meal in the bush.

After a night in a lodge on the shore of famous Lake Kariba and a relaxing boat ride on the lake, you will spend the next few days in Hwange National Park. This is Zimbabwe's largest national park. A varied scenery and water holes around which the animals gather at the end of a hot day will give you completely new impressions of Africa's nature. Here, too, you will immerse yourself in the wilderness when you follow your armed guide on foot and when you spend your nights in the comfortable tents far away from the noise of civilization.
